The Broadway Class Theater Camp will conclude their summer activities with a production of School House Rock Live, on Friday July 26 at 5:30pm in the basement theater of the Grace Lutheran Church 103-15 Union Tpke, Forest Hills. The public is invited, a $5 suggestion donation is appreciated.

School House Rock was adapted from the Emmy Award winning Saturday morning cartoon series of the 1970's which taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through music. The show features several well-known musical numbers including "Conjunction Junction" and "I'm Just A Bill".

The 10 member cast range in age from eight to eleven and are from the Forest Hills area. Directing and choreographing is Leah Zepel with musical direction by Rob Preuss, who combined have over 30 years of Broadway experience. Both are co-owners of The Broadway Class, a school for kids from five to thirty that is teaches (in group and private lessons) singing, dancing, acting, stage presence and performing.

Rob & Leah  

Rob and Leah are parents in Forest Hills who have each spent 25 years as theater professionals, and the past 14 years on Broadway in Mamma Mia!, Phantom Of The Opera, Once The Musical, Donna Summer.


In addition to their professional careers, Rob and Leah love to work with kids and have put up shows with kids from Jewish Community Project (NYC), A Class Act NYC, Applause (NYC), Great Neck High School (Long Island), Great Falls High School (MT), Bigfork Summer Playhouse (MT), El Modena High School (CA) and with the 5th graders at P.S. 144.
