 Musical Theater 1

In this class we will learn songs and basic choreography from Broadway shows as well as imagination play, dancing games and age-appropriate improv exercises to be showcased in a video presentation for family and friends at the end of the session.

 Musical Theater 2

In this advanced musical theater class students will learn more complex songs to learn and perform at the end of the semester, and at this level students will have the opportunity to audition for solos within the group numbers. We will also learn improv games, acting exercises, warm ups and audition preparation. This class will culminate in a video presentation at the end of the session for family and friends.

THE BEATLES CLASS

We are so happy to be able to offer one of our most popular and sought after classes - now available to the public. In our Beatles Music class we explore the history of pop music starting with the music of the Beatles - who
 their influences were, and how they changed the landscape of music to this day - influencing some of the students favorite current stars. In this class we discuss the nature of "fame" vs "accomplishment" (Beatlemania) and how their lives and circumstances helped create their ever-changing music. This class culminates in either a video presentation or a Zoom performance for family and friends.

HAMILTON

Learn the music of the smash Broadway hit Hamilton, and continue the lessons in the 4th and 7th grade history books. We will learn songs, rhythms and raps which will end with a choreographed video presentation. In this class we will be able to sing along to the original Hamilton Cast recording, which has been adapted for young singers.

Beginner Improv

Students will learn the basics of Improvisation through games and exercises meant to help young actors to build confidence, courage, creativity, and teach them to trust their instincts. Improv training has been found to be beneficial to all kinds of people, not only actors, because it helps teach kids to stay out of their head, to listen, to be courageous and to respond honestly. We will end the session with a Zoom performance for family and friends.

TBC Improv Troupe

Students will learn the tenets of Improvisation through games and exercises meant to help young actors build confidence, courage, creativity, and teach them to trust their instincts. This class explores more advanced games including scene work, monologues, group games and exercises meant to challenge the more experienced actor through varied scenarios.

Improv training has been found to be beneficial to all kinds of people, not only actors, because it helps teach kids to stay out of their head, to listen, to be courageous and to respond honestly. We will have a Zoom presentation to showcase our skills for friends and family.
